A Mid-Term Election Poem aka "I Have Seen the Glory of the Coming of the Lord"

In FOUR years my faith had faltered,
with FOUR more my spirit fell,
I waited for signs of the end:
the explosions, the drafts from hell.
But then in fair October,
In the distance I could see
the waves of change were coming
To wash our nation clean.

We watched the POWER use propoganda, lies, and trickery
To manipulate our country,
To make the BLIND believe:
That to question was unpatriotic
that to follow was the RIGHT
But we would not accept this,
We WOULD STAND AND FIGHT!

We say YES to GAY MARRIAGE
We say NO to this WAR
We say YES to STEM CELL RESEARCH
We say NO to TORTURE

We say YES to ALTERNATIVE ENERGY
We say NO to BANNING ABORTION
We say YES to RAISING MINIMUM WAGE
We say NO to IGNORANT CULTURE

We've aborted SANTORUM, that frothy mix,
Rid ourselves of METH-MIKE and his holy tricks,
SHERWOOD the choker has been suffocated,
and in Illinois, RYAN was incarcerated,
KATHERINE is down with no ballots to mis-count,
Perhaps she can help FOLEY find pages to mount,
Ohio repents for 2004, paints the state BLUE
and shows BLACKWELL the door

ALLEN the racist is going down,
And from BURNS, TESTER will take the crown.

DEVAL and PELOSI make history!
While in Missouri MCCASKILL picks up a seat!
We have TAKEN THE HOUSE!
We will TAKE THE SENATE!
THE DEMOCRATS HAVE RETURNED; THE REIGN OF EVIL IS ENDING!
